No need to say goodbye

These are one of those moments where I remembered that I promised my prefect friends in the
A&W which is about to close down at the end of this year that I would write a dedication post to them. Who am I to break a promise? Here goes.

Let's start with Afrina.
Hey Af! You're my bus mate and my classmate last year. Thank you for always enlightening me all the way from your personal stories to ghost stories. Also, thank you for introducing me to Divergent! Thank you for being such a good friend. You are such an Abnegation. I also find you a huggable person haha I miss you.

The other twin, Alya.
Remember when both of us always had to stand up during Prefect Meetings because we always did something wrong? When I look back at it, it's actually a blessing in disguise. See what it made you become? You have achieved so much these past few years. And I believe, that you are now excelling in PBSA!

Ka Mun, I may not be close to you and I'm sorry. I wish we were but I guess time envied us. Stay cool!

Pui Si, you're such a fashionista! Thank you for ordering the badges for me. Now, girls in my new school saw my badges and like "omg, you designed it? Omg I wanna order and design my badges too!" Sorry guys, Pui Si over here ordered it for me.

Navina, you have a very loud laugh! I mean like, I sit way far from you and I could still hear you from afar. I think that PBSA should have people like you as a prefect because you're the rebellious type and prefects should know how it feels like to be a rebel so they could approach to rebels easily. (I'm one of them now haha) Stay cool!

Nihad, you're such a nice person! I can't even describe how nice she is. She's always there to help and volunteer. Her smile never fails to brighten people's day. Thank you for reading my blog. And also listen to my stories and all that. Keep being nice and make PBSA proud!

Shafina, I heard you got AV rep again. Personally, I like that job because you get to control the PA system and all that. I like to gossip with you a lot. And be all rempit with you like, "watlek ah!" I always have fun when I am hanging out with you. Make sure Sri Aman's PA system goes well.

Rachel, I still remember when we played that game where anonymous give notes to other people. I remembered when I didn't get any. To be honest, I didn't feel appreciated back then. I thought that I was very insignificant to the board to the fact that I didn't get any note. But what happened the next Monday was, as I was waiting to raise the flag, I got a note from you and Mitra. How thoughtful. I appreciated that. Thank you so much. Thank you for being your bubbly self!

Tharishinee, I know we may not have a good friendship back then. But I know for a fact that you've changed a lot and I am happy for that. Keep being responsible! :D I'm sorry for what I've done to you. I hope that we could still keep in touch.

Valvet, hey angel partner! I like how you're so creative and hardworking! No wonder you got nominated as the head prefect. Congrats on your post! Keep on dancing and being responsible!

Sonia, I like how you're very passionate about being a prefect. I also like how you love science and geography. I know that you will excel academically and in the prefect board. Good luck!

Iman, I know that you aren't a prefect in PBSA anymore, like me, but I love listening to your voice when you recite the prayers. Have fun in KYS!

Shelly, you're also one of those passionate and hardworking prefects I've known. Good luck as a prefect. I'm sorry for whatever I've done to you. I know I might not be a good person to you so I beg for your forgiveness.

Chandra, I really miss seeing you every morning. You see, I'm always the first person to ever go to school because my uncle sends me to school way too early. I always sleep when I reached the canteen. Then in my dreams, I would hear Chandra's loud voice. And I know, Chandra's ((actually)) here with me at the canteen. I like to talk all the smarty stuff with her like "how eating ice cream for lunch is actually better than eating maggi." I miss talking to her because it's like talking to a politician. She's also one of the most proactive prefect. Ever! Congrats on being a Secretary!

Caysseny.
KC (short name for Caysseny) is so smart and her English is just tip top! She's the one who wrote the article in which I got featured in The Star newspaper, you guys. She's also very fun when you hang out with her a lot. She's so responsible and passionate and an all-rounder. No wonder she got the post as a Head Prefect. Congrats!
BTW I miss asking you questions like KH questions and basically academic questions. She's also a really good debater if you think about it. She talks and everything makes sense. Good job by the way. Rule the school well!

Najwa, hope you're having fun at MRSM Felda. I always like to talk to her. She's a big Netherlands fan, (if I'm not mistaken). I call her Najwa the decent cause she's always so decent and I love that about her. She always smiles even though she has a bad day. Now, lets memorize As-Sajdah and Al-Insan, shall we? (I haven't memorized them yet :p) If you're wondering, our schools require us to memorize 4 long surahs in the Quran in order to graduate. Wish us luck!

Nadine! She's also my mate who always comes early. I tell you, this girl is so injury-prone. The next thing you know her knee is wrapped and her leg is bandaged. I would ask, "what happened?" "oh I just fell into the longkang there heheheh." SHE'S ALSO MY SKULL BUDDY HIGH FIVE GURL!! She's also one of those who still kept in touch with me so thank you for everything.

Mitra, hay hay hay dance partner! We have a lot of similarities, Mitra and I. We both love Maths, we love dancing and both of us want to be actuarists when we grow up! I remembered when we sat together the days before I left for MRSM. Every time we solve a Math/ Add Math question we' be high-fiving each other and like "YEAH GURL WE DID IT!" I also like dancing with her when there's some songs to jam into. Thanks for being a good friend. Oh and congrats for getting in the top 3! Rule the school fabulously! P.S I miss dancing with you. Dancing at my new school makes me feel like a freak hahaa.

Durrah, she's one of a kind. She has such a world-class humour and she doesn't even have to try. I love hanging out with her. Thank you for being a cool friend. Keep on loving K-Pop. I love to stalk her blog. You don't even have to read her blog to know that she's cool. The first thing you'll see on her blog is her header which is

"tbh idk what to write here but i like the font so"

She's so so blatantly awesome. I miss my tall and lanky friend. Eh bila nak hangout lagi? Whatsapp I okay.

Amelynn,
to be honest I don't know what happened to us back in KT. I guess I was a horrible person to you back then. I'm sorry. If I could, I would make everything up for what I've done. But Allah has better plans for us. You know, I never thought that I'd have to deal with you once we moved to Sri Aman. But PBSA brought us back together, and I know, I may not be as close to you like we used to.  I will always remember that blog post you did back in Standard 2 about your best friend. I was the best friend. Even if we're not close anymore, I don't mind. Because I will always remember the things you did for me as my childhood best friend. When we wanted to go back to class after performing our prayers in the surau, we held hands as we ran past the pouring rain. We were soaking wet but it didn't matter. When you went to all my birthday parties. When you used to go to Kumon and we used to talk like there's no tomorrow. When we skipped assembly and both of us (plus two of the naughty boys Nadjmie and Haziq) had to be punished by standing in front of the teachers' room. When you saved mentos for me when I came late for our dance performance. Thank you, so much.

Thivya, hey my belly dancer! I, as Katy Perry misses you so much. I miss telling you about my life and all the juicy secrets I have. Only her and a couple of people would understand my inside jokes hahaha hole mate! Keep on being cool and bubbly! I really miss you cutie pie!

Lastly, to Hafizah.
Congrats on being the Deputy Head Prefect! I knew you'd get the Top 3. You're like so sassy and responsible at the same time. I still remembered that ol' Hafizah who was always in a panic condition when there's a prefect exam or anything. (JSYK I always fail the exams heheh I could barely get an A for my prefect exam haha) Look at her now! She's a successful prefect and I'm so proud of her. Good luck in leading the school!!

I guess I wrote for everyone. Let me know if I missed anyone.

Sorry if I have done anything wrong the whole time I became a prefect. Nothing beats being a prefect in Sri Aman. I will cherish my life as a prefect for life!

Oh wait, I would like to tell you the Rules of Thumb we have in PBSA.

1. Never ask whether a meeting is important or not.
If you are asked to attend, it is.

2. Never ask whether a job is important or not.
If you are asked to do it, it is.

3. Never ask when a meeting is going to end.
It ends when everything that is supposed to be done is done.

4. When you are asked to do something, do it.
Results count and do it fast. Procrastination is the thief of time.

5. Never assume that something that is supposed to be done is done.
When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me.

6. Never take anything for granted

7. If you are unsure, ask. Even if you get fired, you get it done right.

8. Ask the correct people the correct things at the correct time.

9. Communicate

10. Check the board daily in the PR.

(I got lazy to write everything so yeah it is kinda incomplete)

Went through then guidebook and dang, I took these things too seriously. (In which we should anyway)

The reason I wrote down the Rules of Thumb is because you don't need to be a prefect to apply most of the rules. I think that as a person we should apply them in our daily lives.
