I usually write random thoughts on my Instagram story but I’m sworn off Instagram during exam season so here’s one for the ghost town that is this blog.

I went for my terawih jemaah prayer yesterday and after praying for two rakaat, my friend asked me if I was sleeping. I said, no, of course not.

She said, “really?” You look really calm and contented. Like you’re falling asleep.

And I said, oh that’s because I was thinking of my cousins. And how I can’t wait to go back home, albeit its a long way to go.

For the first time ever, my exams are in two days and I felt calm.

How can you not be calm when you get photos like this on a daily basis?
