How to: Funky Tie Dye
7:12 AMLike I said, one of my list of things to do during holidays is tie-dying. It's one of the things which I could do. I was ecstatic to jog and swim and practice for the upcoming Chin Woo Biathlon but nope, I didn't. Mom was right.
"The only exercise you'll be getting is walking from the laptop to the toilet"
Straight to the point, here's a simple way on how to do a tie-dye. A funky one. I am not looking for a perfect tie-dye as I want it to be funky so the messier it is, the funkier it is. Enough with the rants. Let's get started!
Things you'll need:
- Fabric paints
- Whatever fabric thing you can find (preferably white)
- Rubber bands
- Brushes
- Pallette
- Container (for water)
1. Take the white cloth. Wash it and wring it. Later, take the center of the cloth and twist it until it becomes like this.
2. Take some rubber bands and tie it diagonally. Number of rubber bands depend on the number of colours used for the tie-dye.
3. Time to paint!
4. Untie the cloth and dry it.
Voila! Now you have your funky tie dye.
Just so you know, this is just a testing tie-dye. That's why I'm using a cloth. Perhaps if I found myself a plain T-shirt or anything I shall do a tie- dye t-shirt. That's it for now. Toodaloo!
