Feel My Love

8:07 AM

Let me tell you about how I first started watching Glee.
It was my mom who told me about the existence of Glee. I was pretty much busy as I was prepping up for my UPSR. But I did take time to watch some of the episodes.

Then I saw him. That tall, fair and ever-so-loving guy in Glee. He was unfamiliar. In fact, I didn't know anyone in Glee. It was all new faces. He was a quarterback. He was the one who dumped the so-called losers into the dumpster. But then, he was the one who actually made Glee... glee.

As episodes passed by, his character seemed to stand out more than others. I saw the chemistry between him and Rachel Berry. I saw it even when they sang their very first song from Grease, You're The One That I Want. They made me get chills whenever I see them sing together.

Then you'd see the typical cheerleader who would always get the guy. Yes, she did. But you see, when love struck upon you, you don't care whether they're popular or not. Although he was with Quinn Fabray and Rachel Berry was with... whoever she was with, Rachel and him will always end up being each other. I got hooked with Glee. You see, it was because of him that I kept on watching Glee at the first place.

Rachel loves him. He loves Rachel. But it was her personality and optimism which made him fall in love with her. Months later, I found out that the real actor and actresses were dating and they got engaged.

Their relationship in the show moved along as the seasons passed by. Then, they had a major break-up in a heartbreaking episode. Which I cannot begin to fathom as to why everyone had to break up with each other at the same time with the same performance. As they relate science into their break up, I began to ask myself if they are really taking this relationship seriously or not.

He moved on. He became a teacher and he came back to where he belonged. Although he had to endure challenges from the laser-mouthed Sue Sylvester, but he stood up for the sake of the Glee club. He still loves Rachel. He even went all the way to New York to give Rachel's new guy a lesson and said, "stay away from my future wife."

A season later, he's already gone. The character. The actor. That hit me. Maybe it hit all of the Glee fans. But I realized, people die and you can't change that. It doesn't matter how he died. Because he did try to be better. He did try to be the best that he could be. He's no bad person, I know. He was and is still a sweetheart to the fans and to the world.

“I don't have to hide or be somebody I'm not. I don't have to compromise. I can just be myself.”
"Be nice to everyone, always smile and appreciate things, because it could all be gone tomorrow."

Thank you for everything. We both don't know each other personally, but thank you for the joy you've given us, thank you for making me smile with your weird but utterly funny jokes. Thank you for just being there. Thank you for being my first celebrity crush. Thank you.

Goodbye, Cory.

We love you.
