And finally I have completed the puzzle that is my Bintan trip.

I know this is a very delayed post as I have been to Bintan exactly a month so here is a summary of my trip:

DAY 1:
  • Check in hotel in Tanjung Pinang
  • went to a creepy place near the beach, smokers and rempitz everywhere, followed Izzat and the gang back to the hotel.
DAY 2
  • off to Desa Berakit
  • Met Ibu Santi and Kiki and the dad (my forster fam)
  • Played with Kiki (Qis and I got him a hermit crab)
  • Food and ice blended yUM! Got ikan bakar specially made by Ibu for dinnER
DAY 3
  • Kenduri
  • Potong sayur
  • Learnt how to get water from the well
  • Malam kebudayaan
DAY 4
  • was supposed to hike to see makam of historic people but failed bcs raining
  • learnt the REAL Malaysian history
  • Went to Trikora Beach
  • At night, rehearsal bcs wanted to teach the kids traditional dance for the next day
DAY 5
  • Sekolah Dasar (Madrasah)
  • Met this girl who is mute but amazingly smart and potential kids
  • Went to SMP Negeri 10 Betong
  • Learnt a last minute hip hop but still everything got cancelled even traditional dance class lol
  • Played BOOM BOOM hosted by Aiman
  • Played volleyball and other traditional games
  • went to Lagoi near Singapore
  • Majlis Penutup
  • Performed 'Kenangan Terindah' by Samsons
  • Spontaneously danced joget and zapin with the whole TGB contestants on stage
  • Best night ever!

DAY 6

  • Left Desa Berakit for Tanjung Pinang
  • Went to Pulau Penyengat by pompong (a type of boat) (you can see the pompong in the  pic where there's that Playboy dude
  • Saw Pulau Penyengat Mosque. Prayed there, had lunch there. Spotted a dead worm or sth in my food idk ew.
  • Went to makam
  • Went to a hill bcs they said there's a cannonball there. 
  • We were running out of time
  • But I still ran up
  • My friends followed
  • And then we realized the hill was further up lol
  • Had to go back down
  • Went back to Tanjung Pinang
  • SHOPPING!!!
DAY 7

We left. Took pictures for the last (maybe not insyaAllah) time.

Overall, it was a great experience. This is not the typical community service. This is indeed a fun one and I did not once regret joining it. All our worries did not come to waste for this amazing trip. Thank you to my Global Leadership mates Amani, Kimah, Mai, Syabil and Aiman Su! We make a good team.

Thank you to Ustazah Ain and Abang Z for their upmost effort in handling this activity. We hope that we can go to Bintan, again and again.
