SPM Ceremony 2015
10:12 AM
En route to Jasin, 7.03 a.m.
I woke up with the worst mood. My hijab was not ironed, I haven't even thought of what to wear for today. The voices in my head screamed "screw this, I'm going to get the cert and leave this school."
Remember that day when you obtained your results, and those teachers looked at your slip with such dismay and showed it to other teachers and said "Blimey, you missed one A+!" (translated)
No, no, not this day, please, no.
I got to meet these amazing people who have obtained straight A+. Yet, why were they still worried? They already achieved something prominent in their life. This should be their golden year. They've made the school proud. I saw their worry in their eyes. Don't worry, their time will come.
I get to see my teachers. I saw Pn. Muhibbah first. She wasn't exactly my subject teacher. She was only the teacher who introduced us to the Scientist Conference last year.
My mother told her how I exactly felt about my results.
Her eyes started to become glassy, it was a very endearing moment as she complimented me in front of my mother. She was not even a subject teacher of mine, the only time we've crossed paths was during the preparation for the Malaysian Conference of Young Scientists.
This day was the day I got to meet my teachers.
Ms. Asniza, my add math teacher, told her that exponentials and binomial expansion are tough, and upcoming exams worry me, yet I am still very clueless in Maths. She told me I'll get the hang of it.
Ms. Rosni and Ms. Zarina, my accounting and history teachers respectively.
Met Ustaz Tariq, my Islamic studies teacher when he mentioned my name for the seating arrangement.
Ms. Rozila, my chemistry teacher, talked about life in college.
Ms. Lyn, my homeroom teacher, talked about personal statements and uni admissions making my head all cracked up.
Ms. Zakiah, my Phi Kappa Phi club advisor, thanking her for her guidance throughout the club. Thankfully, she had fun guiding our batch.
Ms. Sha, Mr. Azri, Mr. Azman, and most importantly, Ms Diana, my BM teacher, weren't there.
Remaining classmates, most of them went elsewhere.
XLR8 (My Phi Kappa Phi group), Alhamdulillah, all of us scored straight A's, thank you for the late night Chemistry and Physics classes. Missing: Umi and Kamaliah
From left to bottom: Ms. Rozila, Ms. Muhi and Ms. Lyn.
I was glad my mother actually replied to the invitation, or else I wouldn't have met these wonderful people who made my life significant here in TGB. I might have been sad at first, but these people encouraged me to get back up and keep going, as this was never the end, rather it is only the beginning.
Also, I would like to share this very inspirational video (to myself as well in case I become forlorn and such), it will be worth your 20 minutes.
Here's to the sad and depressed ones. Don't worry, Allah SWT is with us, always.
