Sometimes I forget
That I am starting out plenty of new things
Hence it is normal
For me to crawl
When everyone else is running

Sometimes I forget
To pat myself in the back
And say
“Good job, Ain”

Sometimes I forget
That I have plenty of people
To help me
And that friendships can last
So long as I’m there for them

Sometimes I forget
There are people out there
Who actually love me
And care for me

Sometimes I forget
That education is important
And that I can do everything
But knowledge should be my priority
Because it is in the pillars of Islam
For me to seek knowledge
And that I’m doing this for the ummah
Not only for me

Sometimes I forget
That with more and more practice
I can be better

Sometimes I forget
That life will not happen the way I want it to be
But it will be
Much more beautiful
When I least expect it
