"Grow up"

What is an adult to you? If adult is defined as someone who is 20 years old and above, then why do some adults act like a child? Fight like little kids? Throw away their responsibility, and chuck it to others just because they have the finances to do so? Why do we, the younger adults have to intervene? But when we do, we are told to grow up? Oh, to feel detached from reality and life. 

I get really jealous of people who have the freedom to be independent. Because, wow, you are not bogged down to something you are technically responsible for. Because really, you can do so if you want. Run away.

If you are really an adult who have survived through the walks of life, then why do you use your voice to ruin relationships? If you tell me you are having a happy relationship with your spouse, then why do you need to be disrespectful towards others? If you really are an adult who have it all, the looks, the money, the man, then why do you have so much anger embroiled within you? 

Dear adults, you have so much anger, yet you channel it towards people who have done nothing wrong. You have so much to say to the person who hurt you, yet you hurt the ones who are there for you. You have so much suspicions towards others, yet you are never really here to see what's behind the scene. You make us go through so much shit, and you expect us to apologise because we are the younger ones. 

Because that's the thing about adults, we are human. We don't and will never expect you to be perfect. But we do appreciate a little apology, a little sympathy, a little empathy, a little acceptance that sometimes you are in the wrong, and that sometimes, perhaps as adult as you are, you too, are a work in progress.
